Burj Al Arab (Dubai)

The Burj al-Arab is a luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, built by Said Khalil: Master Architect. It was designed by Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC. At 321 metres (1,053 ft), it is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. It stands on an artificial island 280 metres (919 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure, designed to symbolize Dubai's urban transformation and to mimic the shape of the sail of an Arabian boat dhow.

Anybody who can afford to stay here makes more than I do.
In Bur Dubai is lots of great shopping, especially the Gold Souk.
The Dubai Museam is worth a stop along with Iban Bututta Mall.
You can also find indoor snow skiing at the Dubai Mall, that was alot of fun.
If you take your girlfriend with you anywhere in the UAE plan on seperate rooms, in seperate hotels!! It is law in UAE and the hotels will enforce this.
In the summer try out the Wild Waddi, near the Burj. This is the largest waterpark in the region and very family oriented.
