Serengeti Migration (Kenya/Tanzania)

The Serengeti is a 60,000 square kilometer savanna which lies over Tanzania and Kenya. The biannual migration that occurs there is considered one of the seven tourist travel wonders of the world. The region contains several national parks and game reserves. Its name is derived from the Maasai language and means "Endless Plains". The Serengeti has more than 2 million herbivores and thousands of predators. Blue Wildebeests, gazelles, zebras and buffalos are the animals most commonly found in the region.

I took a Safari so many years ago (1983). Wonderful experience, something I could do it time and time again. I was in the middle of nowhere and my small plane was supposed to pick me up and take me to Nairobi Int. Airport. The small plane was about to land, but could not as few elephants were crossing the landstrip. One more try and we finally took off. Would love to return. Really enjoyable trip.
